Brief: Bicycle tube graphic
Robin wanted a graphic which showed the paint job through his name on the tube. He also wanted it to have two stripes at either end. That was more or less all the brief I got.
I drew the illustration on paper first and then redrew it on the computer. I rationalised his fox motif for flat print work and used parts of the illustration to produce some business cards for him too.
A black and white version of the graphic was used for a unique Rapha branded Continental bike, The original bike for which this design was made won Best in Show at Bespoked Bristol in 2011 and the graphic gained the peoples vote too.
